Strength in Numbers

In 2018, Apple reported $11.5 billion in profit, “Avengers: Infinity War” broke box office records and Applied Net is experiencing its highest attendee rate in history! So... What is the common denominator of these three very different things? Each accomplishment was achieved by a team relying and working with one another to guarantee success.
Spanning 4,000 miles, from the beach lined shores of California to Ireland and the UK, we are supporting over 150,000 Applied customers. It is because of the diversified perspectives, business styles and demographics of our members that Applied Client Network is able to see the future trajectory of the insurance industry. This allows us to best service the wants and needs of our members with tailored benefits as the “digital age of insurance” continues to evolve.
Applied Client Network members have observed firsthand the journey we have undergone to enhance the membership experience. Some of the most notable projects include the launch of a new website and Connections publication, product-specific education and the introduction of the all-access webinar pass, as well as the addition of three local chapters. These immense undertakings would not be possible without the consistent passion and support we have and continue to receive from you, our members and volunteers.
For our recent website launch, we conducted an all-member survey, worked with a newly formed committee, and received input and suggestions from more than 60 volunteers, sponsors and prospective members in an effort to upgrade the experience. Your feedback shaped the site into what it is today. Components such as customized content, improved forums, and streamlined navigation, organization and styling are all a direct outcome of the comprehensive feedback we received from current and prospective members, sponsors and chapter officers.
In an effort to help you maneuver the ongoing progress in our industry, we have also revamped Connections, the official publication of Applied Client Network, by opening up access to everyone! You can now find articles on industry-shaping topics, extending from insurance industry news to best business operations and practices, online at any time (no login required). I hope that you share this forward-looking, thought-provoking information with your peers to better support the overall world of insurance. I also encourage subject matter experts and those with unique perspectives on the market to consider submitting an article.
The power of our membership in numbers was so clear at Applied Net. The Applied Client Network booth was an enormous success this year, with lines out the door to spin the prize wheel and take photos with some famous impersonators including Dolly Parton, Willie Nelson and Johnny Cash! It was great to see members sharing their insurance technology questions and insights in education and networking sessions. I am always glad to witness users helping users, because together we are the future of Applied Systems.
Applied Client Network continues to strive to provide our members with the highest quality peer-to-peer support, networking opportunities and education as we traverse into the digital age. There is great strength in numbers; do not hesitate to lean on and learn from the vast Applied Client Network members and your peers. Let me assure you, we have big plans for how to continue to improve our membership and member experience. I look forward to continuing to enhance membership and the experience of Applied Client Network in 2019.
